Can I request a higher limit?
Yes. You can request a higher limit at any time.
Requests are reviewed based on your trading activity, receivables performance, and overall facility usage. Any approved changes will be confirmed before taking effect and, where required, reflected in updated facility terms. Some changes may require updated terms to be accepted before they take effect.
Can I close the account at any time?
Yes. You can request to close your Flexible Trade Account at any time.
Before the account is closed, any outstanding balance will need to be settled. The exact steps depend on whether you’re simply repaying and closing, or moving to another funding arrangement. The Bourn support team will guide you through the appropriate process.
What happens if there’s a serious issue with my account?
Most issues are handled without interrupting your day-to-day use of the account. Where possible, we aim to manage issues at an individual invoice or customer level rather than affecting the whole facility.
If there’s a more serious issue - for example, a loss of data connectivity, significant deterioration in receivables performance, or the terms of your facility agreement aren’t being met - we may need to temporarily restrict funding while the issue is reviewed.
If this happens, we’ll notify you promptly, explain what’s happening, and outline what steps are needed to resolve the issue. Our support team will work with you to address the problem as quickly as possible and minimise disruption.
Funding is only fully paused where necessary, and always with the aim of restoring normal operation once the issue is resolved.
Will I get notice if something changes?
Yes. If there are changes that affect your account, available funding, or how the facility operates, you’ll be notified via the portal or by email. Your NatWest Relationship Manager will also be aware of this and will be able to discuss this with you.
The aim is to give you clear, timely information so you understand what’s changing and whether any action is required from you.
